Heather Schmidt

Research Technician
Heather Schmidt, UArizona Landscape Architect Alumnus

Heather is an alumnus of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture, completing her Master of Landscape Architecture in 2021. During her final semester in the program she research structural designs mounting interpretive signage for the GSI Campus Living. Her structural design was inspired by the parallel designs of the University of Arizona's ENR2 slot canyon building and the columnar structures that showcase the interpretive signage at Sabino Canyon near Tucson, AZ. Melding these unique designs resulted in structural units representing nature that blend industrial and sustainable products.
